A Bay Area native, Carlo A. Rolando graduated magna cum laude from Saint Mary's College of California and received his legal education at the University of Notre Dame. Faculty selected him to represent Notre Dame at the American Bar Association's National Appellate Advocacy Competition. He also assisted a professor with research and drafting for a textbook on evidence.
Experience inside and outside the courtroom
Following law school, Mr. Rolando served as law clerk to the Chief Judge of Michigan's 43rd Judicial Circuit Court. His responsibilities included evaluating civil and criminal motions, making recommendations, and drafting orders and opinions. He was also trained by Bay Area district attorneys.
His academic and practical experience spans legal matters from the trial level through the court of appeals. He has served in leadership capacities with the San Mateo County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
